Accessibility statement
This site has been designed with accessibility in mind, and we believe that it complies to WCAG 1.0 AAA requirements – this is the standard we aim to achieve on all our websites.
Here are some of the things we have done to make the site accessible.
- Use CSS rather than tables for layout.
- Using link text which makes sense when read out of context, so that screen reader users can understand the site better.
- Coding the site so that the user can resize text in their browser.
- Applying accessibility enhancements to any forms we use in the site.
- Ensuring any client side scripts we use degrade gracefully so that those browsing without Javascript can still use the site.
- Using URLs which make sense when read by people.
- Warning users when a new browser window is about to be opened.
